Quarterback Security

What’s up guys, my name is Hunter Collins, and this post is about teaching proper quarterback mechanics. My experience was a 4 year varsity starter, a year starter at MGCCC, and threw my shoulder out at my second college of Holmes CC. With the quarterback, footwork is KEY! If you don’t have footwork, it simply might not be for you. Balance is also key, you never want to be off balance throwing because at that point you are either throwing it to high or to low, therefore 50% of the time resulting in an interception. A proper throwing motion can be developed, and the most key thing with throwing mechanics is throwing where your receiver is going to be, by transitioning the weight from your back foot forward (you can see all my weight is in my back foot and i will transition it when I throw it), and following all the way through to make the throw complete. Quarterback comes with repetition, it is the most vital position on the field, and often times is how you win or lose games. You must be able to thrive under pressure, and to keep composure. I hope I have informed you on vital information, if anybody has any questions about any particular area of football email me at collinshunter28@gmail.com
